Conscious Streams

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀”[E]very gesture, every caress, every touch,
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀every glance, every last bit of the body has its secret…”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀—Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha
⠀⠀⠀⠀Here, pieces of poem inspired by a scrap of prose, however you’ll take it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Imagine me there, finding you reason to compose however you’ll take it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀From mountain springs of first passes through forests of embraces
⠀⠀⠀⠀into open fields of passion, a story’s river flows however you’ll take it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Legally, a contract will not exist absent fair exchange of interests.
⠀⠀⠀⠀I’ve a potential conflict of interest to disclose, however you’ll take it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀No matter the translator, a rock can be a rose. A nail can be a rose.
⠀⠀⠀⠀A rose can be rejected or accepted as a rose, however you’ll take it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Like money, metaphors are fungible. Meaning waits on give and take:
⠀⠀⠀⠀once you said it was yours to give, you chose however you’ll take it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Diseased decay feed on the same flesh devoted desire eagerly devours,
⠀⠀⠀⠀often at one open table serving both of those, however you’ll take it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀The reader is the poet is the poem is the word is the voice is the dance
⠀⠀⠀⠀is image is myth is dream some tomorrow shows, however you’ll take it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Let this be Cyn’s parting kiss, in sincerest admiration of your conquest
⠀⠀⠀⠀of her time. Of love known, so she her love knows, however you’ll take it.
