Apparatus

Beckon. Yes, it’s an old word that people
don’t think anymore, but try to anyway.
                              Don’t yell. It’s more a body language,
something you have to feel inside before
you let your mouth run off with it,
instead of how you’re used to.

Nothing you’ll do here’ll be obsolete.
Nothing you’ll make here’ll get wasted.
Nothing you’ll find here’ll come undone.
Nothing you’ll take from here’ll cost you a life.
                              Nothing you’ll burn here’ll cause a scene.
                              Nothing you pinch here’ll misunderstand.

                              That’s faith.
                              Apparatus.
It takes your nothing to make something of it,
instead of how you’re used to,
letting it happen its way to that hole
that won’t go away on its own.
