Unconditional What?

⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀Unconditional love?
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀On your breath, those words are nothing but another hard slap.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀An unjustified accusation to deflect responsibility from your own choices.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀An unreasonable demand imposed on me that you have no care to live up to.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀So, that’s just the way you are?
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀I have to accept you at your worst, else I will never deserve your best?
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀And next time you have the chance, you’ll do exactly the same?
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀No.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀Accepting abuse is no act of unconditional love.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀Call it unconditional surrender.
